5 Essentials before starting Fitness journey

Most of us jump directly into fitness mainly because our role models are doing it or because your friends or family are into it or because you want to please the world with your killer body and whether we like it or not, it affects our fitness purpose. If you do fitness so as to please others, you will not make it to where you want to be because your heart will still be within the unhealthy habit lifestyle while your mind is onto pleasing others. Eventually, we all know that the heart will win the battle…You have to do it for yourself.. Don’t forget also that hygiene is very important if you choose to start working out. Hygiene tips will be another topic of its own so stay tuned!!!

  1. LEARN HOW YOUR BODY WORKS

There is a need to understand how your body works. You can do this by visiting a Professional (nutritionist or dietician.) If this doesn’t work for you, as soon as you start your fitness journey…make sure to listen to your body…I’m talking of your heart rate…your breathing rate and how your body reacts towards certain exercise. But this is not recommended… I would strongly advise you to see a professional before starting.

2.GOALS ESTABLISHMENT

You need to establish your goals. Write about 2 to 3 goals that are realistic. This way you can be able to manage easily and work through it without having to feel much pressure of accomplishing your goals.

3. FINDING A COMFORTABLE WORKING OUT SPACE.

Without much argument, we all love to be comfortable so choose a comfortable space for your workouts. It can be a gym, it can be your balcony, your apartment…It doesn’t really matter where you choose to workout, as long as you work out.

4. MEASUREMENTS

Have your BMI measurements to know where you are starting from. In addition, you can have some pictures as well to get you started…Having these will help motivate you in that after a month or so you can compare your BMI measurements and pictures…With no doubt, it will keep you motivated if you get to see a difference in the scale or photos.

5. NO EXCUSES

Start and don’t stop…Rest if you must but DO NOT QUIT!!!!!

Losing WEIGHT WILL NOT MAKE YOU HAPPY….HAPPINESS COMES FROM WITHIN YOURSELF!!..SO IF YOUR AIM FOR losing WEIGHT IS CAUSE IT WILL MAKE YOU HAPPY. THEN YOU NEED TO RESTRATEGISE YOUR PURPOSE.

Consistency and patience are key. All those successful weight loss journeys we encounter on social media they are all as a result of one’s determination and consistency. Not supplements, not slim teas or pills but HARD WORK.
