Finally, we reach the end of the ultimate weight loss hack with juicing for weight loss. Remember there are tons of fasting but I picked the top 3 most effective and trendy ones.

I recently came across juicing for weight loss and I found it very interesting that there are so many ways in which we can lose weight easily without having the stress of visiting a gym!!

Juicing for weight loss might not be new but it is the least practised fasting of the three mentioned in the previous posts and shortly we shall see why that is.

Unlike Keto, Juicing is more of a high carb, low-fat diet. It insists on consuming less to no fat and lesser protein in the diet.

What is Juicing?

It is the activity of making juices from either fruits or vegetables.

There are three ways that you can do this type of fast:


This is when you fast for at least 3 days. During this time you can eat fruits of any kind, veggies, tuna, lean meat, nuts, nut butter and boiled eggs.

How to do it:

You want to drink 2 glasses of juice, each 16 ounces and 1 meal that is low in fat and consists of at most 1500 calories.


This fasting can go as long as 7 days to 10 days, however, you can extend it as long as you want. As long as 90 days can do.

How to do it:

You want to drink 3 glasses of juice with snacking in between. The snacks include nuts, nut butter, crunchy fruits such as apples and vegetables that are low in carbohydrates such as celery. Here there are no meals included.


This is incorporating Intermittent Fasting with Juicing. So if you are doing a 16:8 fast, you drink the juices within an 8-hour window and fast for the rest of the hours. This is extremely hard so you want to be very careful if you want to do it. You should not be doing heavy work or heavy exercises while on this because it can drain you and can cause more harm than good.

How to do it:

During the eating window drink at least 3 glasses of juice, every 16 ounces. They should all add up to 1500 calories and less than 2000 calories.

You can decide to eat some snacks during this period if you feel withdrawn after 3 days of doing the juicing.

With these juicing methods, you start noticing results almost to immediately. Give it at least 3 days to work. Given that you consume at least 1500 calories per day, drink your water and stay true to the fast.

Consuming fewer calories during this fast will slow down your metabolism after a few weeks and will decrease your immune system functionality due to lack of enough nutrients needed in the body per day.

The mistake comes in when you eat fewer calories you lose weight tremendously day by day and it is unhealthy to lose weight that fast. When it is time to be off that fast, and you start eating unhealthy for more than 3 days the weight comes back right in.

2. Eating any fruit or vegetable

Make sure you are eating high carb low-fat fruits and vegetables. We want to avoid consuming a lot of avocados, olives and coconuts due to their high-fat content.

3. Starting out big

You may come across this juicing fast for the first time and due to the tremendous weight loss stories that we see or hear on youtube that partake within 3 days, you would be tempted to start off with the hard method of doing intermittent fasting with the juicing method. But do not do that since your body needs to start adapting to the juicing method. Start off with 3 days then proceed higher. Do not forget to test if this juice fast works for your body.

4. Eating a feast after finishing your juice cleanse

Just like any other fast, we need to keep it low carb, high protein and some fat while breaking. If you start eating heavy it will attract all the weight that you struggled to lose during the fast.

5. Not making a lifetime change

You have to be ready and prepared to enter a long term healthy lifestyle journey. Otherwise the weight will creep right back in.

6. Not drinking enough water.

This is probably key to every fast/diet. Drink a lot of water. I drink up to 4 to 5 litres of water every day. My aim is to drink at least 7 litres of water per day. It really helps with washing away the toxins in your body helping you with clear skin and proper digestion.

7. Too many cheat meals

Well, a cheat meal is not bad but doing it consistently will definitely ruin your long term goals for weight loss.

8. Stress

Stressing supports weight gain. Therefore if you want to lose that weight, stop stressing and let the juice do its work.

Getting started.

Get yourself a juicer or a blender. A lot of people recommend the Ninja juicer.

Buy fruits and veggies that you require.

For blending make sure to add water to your smoothies and strain the juice of the pulp to make a lighter version of the drink.
