Its the Ramadhan season and what better way to treat yourself with healthy homemade ice cream that will melt in your mouth like never before.

It is healthy, natural and filling. There will be no need of going to the fridge one too many times to snack because it’s gratifying.

So, lets get to this easy healthy recipes that will change your world!

1. Banana nice-cream

Needless to say, this is my favorite and I bet it will be yours too. The easiest to make as well.

You will need:

  • 2 frozen bananas chopped
  • 1 tbsp natural peanut butter
  • 1 cup full-fat milk/almond/coconut milk

Procedure:

  • In a blender place the frozen bananas and add milk
  • Blend until the consistency is thick.
  • Add 1 tbsp peanut butter and blend all together again
  • In a bowl, place the ice cream and freeze for up to 4 hrs
  • Add toppings of choice
  • Serve and enjoy!

Calories: 330 (almond milk included)

390(full-fat milk included)

Depending on the milk you use, the calories may be higher or lower.

Almond milk: 30 cal

Full fat milk :70 cal

2. Berry-nice cream

You will need:

  • 2 frozen bananas chopped up
  • 1 handful of berries of choice
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 cup almond milk

Procedure:

  • In a blender place the bananas, berries and milk.
  • Blend until the consistency is thick.
  • Add honey and blend entirely.
  • In a bowl, place the ice cream and freeze for up to 4 hrs.
  • Add toppings of choice
  • Serve and enjoy.

Calories: 370

3. Detox nice cream

So, You have had a long day of fasting or your stomach doesn’t feel quite right because of eating too much, this ice cream acts as a detox in your system to help you nourish to a better you.

You will need:

  • 2 handfuls of spinach (frozen)
  • 1/2 frozen avocado
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1/2 cup almond milk

Procedure

  • Start off with blending milk and the green stuff.
  • Add the frozen banana
  • Blend until the consistency is thick
  • Add honey and blend
  • Place in a bowl and freeze for 4 hrs
  • Add toppings of choice or even make it a popsicle ice cream.
  • Serve and enjoy!

Calories: 250

4. Choco-Banana nice cream

For all my chocolate lovers out there, this is for you.

You will need:

  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 1 bar of chocolate(90% dark chocolate)
  • 1tbsp peanut butter
  • 1 cup almond milk

Procedure:

  • Blend the bananas and almond milk
  • In a saucepan melt the dark chocolate
  • Let it cool
  • Add it to the blender together with peanut butter and blend
  • In a bowl place the ice cream
  • Freeze for 4hrs
  • Add toppings as desired
  • Serve and enjoy!

Calories 380

5. Spinach-Banana nice cream

You will need:

  • 1/2 almond milk
  • 1 handful of spinach
  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 1 tbsp natural peanut butter

Procedure

  • Blend the spinach and almond milk
  • Add the frozen bananas and blend
  • Add peanut butter and blend
  • In a bowl place the ice cream and freeze for up to 4 hrs
  • Add toppings as desired.
  • Serve and enjoy!

Calories: 320

The idea is to get any fruits of your choice and freeze them before blending them.
